1001 Start Up Accelerators

The 1001 NWC accelerator program is the training for leaders in the initial stages of starting a new worshiping community. Accelerators help leaders begin to think about the important questions of the whys and hows and the ongoing sustainability of a new worshiping community and its leaders.

2025 Accelerator Dates

“The Accelerator Training was a fabulous experience from start to finish. It was wonderful to meet with others who were on a similar journey and to extend and receive encouragement.  Each session gave participants the opportunity to reflect on their ministry setting and to strategize how to enhance their ministries. The 1001 NWC leadership team was so helpful; their personal experiences as NWC leaders were invaluable.

2025 Accelerator Dates

In-person Accelerator

April 1-4

Calvin Center, Georgia 

This in-person accelerator, based in the southeast (but open to all leaders), will take place at Calvin Center, a bucolic retreat center located just 20 minutes from Atlanta International Airport.​

ONLINE Accelerator

Thursdays, May 1 - June 5

90 minutes via Zoom

Can't make it in-person this year but want to get started? Sign up for our 2025 online accelerator, held via Zoom on Thursdays and hosted by NWC leaders who are eager to support you on your journey. 

In-person Accelerator

August 18-21

Federal Way, Washington

This in-person accelerator, based on the West Coast (but open to all leaders), will take place at the beautiful Archbishop Brunett Retreat Center near Seattle, WA.​​​

Successful completion of the accelerator satisfies the

accelerator/apprenticeship requirements of the 1001 Grant Funding.
